The A-head is a circular flange, very commonly used by German breweries. It is known as the German slider because it slides over the valve face. This is the quintessential head for wheat beers, used by Hoegaarden, Paulaner, Spaten, Warsteiner, and Weihenstephaner breweries. It connects to the spud via a lateral/horizontal offset.
